The building project is making steady progress. The construction team and Progressive's staff have truly become a team and are fully committed to seeing this project to completion.
We reached another important milestone when we received the exterior demolition and foundation permit from the City of Chicago this month. That permit grants us the right to continue into the second phase of demolition and to begin laying foundation for the new construction.
Thank you to every donor who have supported the journey so far, especially through our recent Matching Grant initiative. Thanks to your help, we successfully reached our $25,000 goal within the designated 60-day period.
A special heartfelt appreciation goes to Attorney Lester and Dr. Sue Barclay, who initially vowed to match up to $25,000. At the end of the 60 days, they expressed that they felt led to increase their gift to $50,000!
With continued generosity of our supporters, we are able to remain faithful to the vision of creating a safe space for youth and families in Auburn-Gresham and surrounding communities.
